Preparation before cooking Roti , Rice or making Oil, Sweets or Milk from Millets

Need to soak the millet well- ( a) For better taste and (b) for good digestibility

Soaking well will help you avoid the following issues :

Digestion Issues :

Uneasy feeling of heat in body, headache, constipation

Taste / Palatability Issues

You will notice

Sweets and Oil made after soaking and drying the grains or leaves or millets even rice makes for better tasting foods.

Also if you let the dough rest for 2 hours in case of millets and 30 min in case of wheat

The fibres are better able to soak water and thus in form up to be digested more readily.

My Own Observations

Gota Masala e.g. Haldi, Jeera Dhania , Golki etc when Dried and powdered even at home in a mixer grinder or powder bought from stores

Vs

Same items soaked and made into paste after adding water and then ground instead of in dry form

The taste and aroma of later is far superior to the ones which were made in powder in dry form
