KEPER of Kets
The Keeper of the Keys
(Dedicated to all my friends whom I love deeply)
For every key, there is a Door,
And for every Door, there is a Cure,
For every Cure, there is a Disease,
And for all Disease there is a Sneeze,
For every Sneeze, there is a Charm,
And for every Charm, there’ll be less Harm.
So as you can plainly see,
Being Keeper of Keys,
Is a difficult and important job,
You might get maimed, you might get robbed,
And loosing a key,
Would definitely not be,
A good thing,
So keep your keys and bring,
More kindness to sing,
And hold on tight,
To the keys that are most right,
And close to you,
And if you choose,
To bare the keys of others,
Know that the keys you must keep most are of lovers,
All good things must come to an end,
But just cause the door’s gone doesn’t mean the keys have no friends,
And bad things sometimes happen,
So the good things will come a tappin, (at a door)
Just remember when opportunity knocks,
You must choose to use the key,
To answer the call of your own destiny…
Jake Boland
I came across this poem in a book called Thinking for a Change by John C Maxwell:
Keeper of the Keys
You are the keeper of the keys
You are the Guard at the Gate
Waiting in line to go through that door
is LOVE. And also HATE.
In line to enter is GENTLE PEACE.
And also VIOLENT WAR.
You must choose who may, and who
May not come through the door.
INTOLERANCE tries to sneak on through
On wings of FEAR, or PRIDE.
It hides behind DREAMS of BELONGING,
And tries to sneak inside.
Oh! Be alert! You’re the Guard who decides
Who GOES and who may STAY
You are The Keeper of the Keys to your Mind.
Who will you let in today?

NORMAN VINCENT PEALE
Power of Positive Thinking
He encouraged millions with his 1952 best seller, The Power of Positive Thinking.
The Art of Living
editor of a weekly four-page spiritual leaflet for businessmen called Guideposts, which by the 1950s had become a widely popular monthly magazine. Peale’s first book was The Art of Living (1937), and he also wrote You Can Win (1938) and A Guide for Confident Living (1948) before the appearance of The Power of Positive Thinking. Later volumes included Six Attitudes for Winners (1989) and This Incredible Century (1991).
Peale taught that religious faith could be tapped to improve one’s material life and that a positive mental attitude and belief in oneself are as necessary as belief in God.
Science of Being and Art of Living: Transcendental Meditation by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi
