Birds , Animals , Plants , Butterfly , Ants don’t seem to worry about making a living. They Simple live or die away.

We humans despite all talks of our Genius , do however know how to complicate matters and then struggle to come out of that. So for this Basic Need for Existence and growth ( like any living being ) , we do try to make a living. If We wish Just to Live and Not bother much about making a Living, Society has bad news for us.

Looked upon from perspective of Individual or in his self-interest , the question is ‘”How do I make a living ? ” . Looked at from perspective of NOT-ME , But the community , the others, the society , the industry , the Nation, The Humanity the question ” What Do they Need ? ” .

When I focus on Me, My Need , My Family , My child etc , The answers could be Food , Shelter, Clothing, Comfort

The Use of Term itself is itself quite Naive .

It is Not Employable Vs Unemployable But rather More Employable and Less Employable . It is a matter of degree Not Absolute matter.

It is Not Good Or Bad Man But This Man is better than That on This or that matter. It is Not This Man is Fool and that Man is Intelligent, it is This man is a greater fool compared to that man or compared to majority of people. Or This man is more intelligent than many of others ..It is rarely the case that THIS man is Intelligent and all else are Fools. ..It’s a matter of Quality and Not of Quantity.

We as society are not creative enough to be able to profitably or usefully employ all our people . While there is No end to Number of Desires, wants and lack we can have on material plane , Nature directly does not provide for them all the time. We humans use our will power , apply our brains, use our insights , understandings and create ways to fulfil our needs and desires. Nature asks to to live on trees and jungle , we clear away , make homes. Nature asks us to walk , We see birds flying , we also wish to fly and We create flying machine.Nature asks us to suffer vagaries of environments – Some Turn Yogis and are able to easily endure any temperature from -15 to +50 deg C . Others create igloos, AC machines, Heaters , Sweaters, Jackets , blankets .

There are billions of people on plant . I will to meet and learn from those handful of people and pray to teach us us – Who can say they have all their needs fulfilled for ever. They need Nothing More , Next moment onwards. They don;’t need food , they will survive on air which is free. They don’t need clothes because they don’t care and Not troubled by Society that prohibits public nudity and the don’t worry about hot or cold climes. They can walk , they need no transport If there is Tsunami alert and soon the area is on need of evacuation , They say they can Float in Sea waters and waves won’t drown or kill them. I can remember only One such instance where this is the case – ATMA at hinted in Gita ( Fire can’t burn , Wind can’t dry , It is ever Free Eternal ) For those who have bodies yet intact , They will realise they need some help.

Those billions of people have each some thousands of Needs , Wish , Desires, . So are not there trillions of needs already there ? And when those Needs are fulfilled , more will come of same type or new types and yet as the case of Yayati Proves ,They will Not be fulfilled Once for all.

On a planet where there are Trillions and trillions of Unfulfilled needs ,When it is human beings who have always used their brains , hands tools , machines , to meet the needs of the people, How do we say that there is Not enough work for people .

We all live at most 100 years ( some exceptions apart ) , but On an average we can’t say that average age of Humans is 500 years … Some Banyan trees do live even that long. Tortoise even 300 years. The amount of work before us is So huge , gigantic and never ending in full filling those endless desires or need of Fellow human beingas that Even if Lived 1000 years worked Non Stop without sleeping, we will feel short of time,

Is it not then Sheer Stupidity to say that There are Not enough Employment opportunities in the economy ? We can admit that Employers or such huge Humanity in service of each other is lacking. And TO those creative minds , having will power to achieve and fulfil the wants He may well show the way to how to engage people in work.

If I am bothered about Only I – well Suppose I have managed to hoard food clothe and shelter for myself for 10 years , And I don’t crave much , I have Not much need for which to exert myself .

But If I look around , what society needs, where are the pains the desires – I go beyond the narrow self – I can’t afford to sit still for those 10 years .

So when we talk of Creating livelihood , employment – It’s from myopic individual view. Look at the Totality. There are Too many work to do.

It’s then Not the case of Unemployable but being Clueless about How to employ every single person , whatever their ability.

We humans despite all claims of our being Superior brains to Outwit all other living beings and ability to transcend the limitations put by nature on us reaching moons, mars , diving deep in ocean , harnessing energy from wind, sun do however worry about making a living.
